The following day we set off for Sydney but not without making a stop at the Australian Reptile Park first. It was really good but we didn't actually take any photos as we've already got so many pictures of animals in zoos.
As you can imagine around a huge city such as Sydney a reasonably priced campsite within a reasonable distance wasn't easy to come across. The closest we could find was a half an hour train ride away but we really didn't have many options. We booked it from Sunday to Friday to give us the best part of a week to explore.
On Monday we got the train in to the city. As soon as we saw the opera house we started getting giddy. It was so exciting that we were finally there! The next few days kind of merged into one so here's a quick run down of some of the things we did.
Visited Museums, walked around The Rocks, went to the Aquarium, saw the Queen Victoria building, went up the Sky Tower, went to China town for dinner, got a Ferry to Manly, walked across the Harbour bridge, walked through the Royal botanical gardens, went to the opera house, went to Bondi beach, did a coastal walk and last but not least took a lot of photos...

Excited to get exploring!

The city by night.
A large percentage of chinese people live in Sydney. You can tell by the amount of adverts alone that are in both English and Chinese.

As much as we are loving travelling and been on the road, unfortunately it's got to that time where we need to work again. We have decided to look for farming work or fruit picking so that we can then apply for a second year visa just to give us a bit longer in Australia so we can really make the most of it. Straight from Sydney we headed 3 and a half hours in land to a place called Orange as we heard it is currently Apple season here.
Along the way we drove through the Blue Mountains national park and got some quick photos of the famous 'Three Sisters'.
There is a lot more in the Blue Mountains that we want to do, and the same goes for Sydney, but being only a few hours away means we can come back once we've got a few more months of work under our belt.
The weather is definitely a lot cooler now we're further south. The jeans are back out and we're needing our waterproofs a lot more than our sunglasses these days. So far though the tent has held up well and kept us warm and dry.
Tomorrow we are going to see a farmer at his orchard and so hopefully by this time then we will be employed. Unfortunately here in Orange there really isn't much to do so we're not sure when the next blog post will be, but we will keep everyone up to date.
:)
